Regular Benefits Packages
Benefit claim forms for Vision Care/Prescription Drug/Ambulance coverage
Part-time Local 1400 members of Extra Foods, Superstore, Real Canadian Wholesale Club who are not covered by the company group insurance plan, and members of Garda Security and their eligible dependents.
- $100 coverage for eye examinations every 24 months. $200 coverage for eye glasses (frames and lenses) or contacts every 24 months.
Prescription Drug Coverage
- $800 per individual per calendar year
Ambulance and Paramedical Coverage
- Ambulance: up to $300 (effective Jan. 1, 2014) for transportation to nearest emergency medical facility or hospital. Coverage will include eligible dependents.
- Paramedical Services: Coverage has been implemented up to $300 (effective Jan. 1, 2014) per Insured Member per Specialist per calendar year inclusive of the following: Licensed Podiatrists, Chiropodists, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Speech Therapists, Naturopaths, Acupuncturists, and Osteopaths.

Benefit claims for days missed because of illness
Life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment
Benefits: $10,000 member life insurance flat benefit. $10,000 member flat benefit for Accidental Death and Dismemberment.
Excludes members from YIG Regina (Normanview and Broadway) and No Frills Estevan and North Battleford.
Travel Medical Insurance
Please contact the Union office for a booklet and card. The insurance now covers the member, spouse and dependents.
